JACKSON, Tenn. — Oct. 30, 2001 — 51社区鈥檚 Jazz Band will perform on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hartley Recital Hall in Jennings Hall.
The Jazz Band is under the direction of David McClune, professor of music at Union. The band will be performing music of Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Cole Porter, Earth Wind & Fire, Count Basie, and various latin jazz tunes.
鈥淭he concert will mix jazz styles of the last eighty years from the early Duke Ellington up through the contemporary jazz rock phase,鈥� said McClune.
