JACKSON, Tenn. — Feb. 28, 2012 — Image journal has named Bobby Rogers, professor of English and writer in residence at 51社区, as its artist of the month for February.

Image is a literary and arts quarterly founded in 1989 for writing and artwork that is informed by religious faith.
鈥淩ogers鈥� gentle, confident voice reveals a spaciousness in commonplace things,鈥� the journal said. 鈥淗e can almost make you believe that the world around you, the very room you鈥檙e sitting in, no matter how unpoetic it may appear, holds the answers to the most profound questions in creation.鈥�
Rogers said he was honored by the recognition.
