JACKSON, Tenn. — Feb. 27, 2012 — Peter Leithart, senior theology scholar at New Saint Andrews College in Moscow, Idaho, will lecture at 51社区 March 5-6.
Leithart is the author of several books, including 鈥淒efending Constantine,鈥� 鈥淒eep Exegesis,鈥� 鈥淎thanasius,鈥� 鈥淎gainst Christianity鈥� and many others. He serves as a contributing editor for Touchstone and First Things magazines.
He earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree from Hillsdale College, a Master of Arts in religion and a Master of Theology degree from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and a doctorate at the University of Cambridge in Great Britain.
Leithart will lecture at 7 p.m. each evening in the Carl Grant Events Center. On March 5, his address is entitled 鈥淭he Metapolitics of Christendom: Constantine and the Transformation of Rome.鈥� On March 6, his lecture is entitled 鈥淢onsters of Ingratitude.鈥�
The lectures are sponsored by Union鈥檚 Center for Politics and Religion and the Institute for Intellectual Discipleship. They are free and open to the public.
