JACKSON, Tenn. — Oct. 10, 2011 — Ralph C. Wood, university professor of theology and literature at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, will lecture at 51社区 Oct. 20.
Wood鈥檚 address is entitled 鈥淭he Cruciform Beauty That Will Save the World.鈥�
Wood is the author of several books, including 鈥淐hesterton: The Nightmare Goodness of God,鈥� 鈥淐ontending for the Faith: The Church鈥檚 Engagement with Culture鈥� and 鈥淔lannery O鈥機onnor and the Christ-Haunted South,鈥� among others.
The lecture, sponsored by the Institute for Intellectual Discipleship at Union, will begin at 7 p.m. in the Carl Grant Events Center. It is free and open to the public.
