JACKSON, Tenn. — Sept. 26, 2011 — Hunter Baker will give the 11th annual Calihan Lecture at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va., Oct. 5.
The Calihan Lecture is delivered by the recipient of the Novak Award, a $10,000 prize given by the Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty. Baker, senior associate dean of arts and sciences and associate professor of political science at 51社区, will speak on 鈥淪ocial Justice, Government and Society.鈥
Baker鈥檚 presentation will conclude a day-long conference, 鈥淲hole Life Discipleship: Integrating Faith, Economics and Work.鈥
Baker is the author of 鈥淭he End of Secularism鈥 and co-founder of 鈥淭he City,鈥 a journal of Christian thought.
