JACKSON, Tenn. — Sept. 7, 2011 — Poet Andrew Hudgins will present a reading at 51社区 Sept. 13.
Hudgins, the Humanities Distinguished Professor in the English department at Ohio State University, has published several volumes of poetry, including 鈥淎merican Rendering: New and Selected Poems,鈥 鈥淓cstatic in the Poison鈥 and 鈥淏abylon in a Jar.鈥
Hudgins has been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award. He has received two National Endowment for the Humanities fellowships and a Guggenheim Fellowship.
The reading will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Harvey Auditorium, located in the Barefoot Student Union building. A book signing will follow.
The event is free and open to the public.
