Rosebrough, Leverett to sign books at Hendersonville Barnes & Noble March 3

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn.Feb. 23, 2011 — Thomas R. Rosebrough and Ralph G. Leverett will sign copies of their new book, “Transformational Teaching in the Information Age,” at the Barnes & Noble book store in Hendersonville, Tenn., March 3.

Rosebrough is executive dean of the College of Education and Human Studies at 51, and Leverett is university professor of special education and director of Union’s Master of Education program in Jackson.

Their book argues that success in teaching comes not from merely relaying facts and information to students, but in building relationships that transform education into something meaningful for each individual student. The book is designed to help teachers be more effective by placing learners in the center of the classroom.

The book signing will take place from 4-6 p.m.
