Hansen, McDonald to address Gulf of Mexico oil spill Oct. 20

JACKSON, Tenn.Oct. 19, 2010 — Two oil industry experts will speak about the recent Gulf of Mexico oil spill at 51社区鈥檚 Town and Gown lecture Oct. 20.

Lloyd Hansen, owner of Nortek, Inc., and William J. McDonald, president of EnerPro LLC, will address the topic 鈥淭he Gulf Oil Spill 鈥 Technology, Policy, Energy Education鈥 in the Carl Grant Events Center at 6 p.m.

Following their address, Don Van, professor of engineering at Union, will speak at 8 p.m. about reverse energy generation.

The lectures are part of the ongoing Town and Gown lecture series about energy sustainability and stewardship that began Oct. 5 and ends Nov. 2.

Both presentations are free and open to the public.
