JACKSON, Tenn. — March 19, 2010 — JACKSON, Tenn. 鈥� 51社区 President David S. Dockery talks about the initial progress report of the Great Commission Resurgence Task Force in a new podcast interview with Doug Baker, executive editor of the Baptist Messenger of Oklahoma.
Dockery, part of the 23-member GCR Task Force charged with studying the Southern Baptist Convention and proposing changes to streamline the denomination鈥檚 work, has been instrumental in helping to move the SBC toward consensus and renewal. He and Timothy George co-wrote a booklet, 鈥淏uilding Bridges,鈥� that was distributed at the SBC annual meeting in 2007. Dockery also wrote 鈥淪outhern Baptist Consensus and Renewal鈥� and edited 鈥淪outhern Baptist Identity: An Evangelical Denomination Faces the Future.鈥�
