JACKSON, Tenn. — Sept. 14, 2001 — The four-person cast of 51’s upcoming production, “Who’s on First” was recently announced, according to David Burke, associate communication arts professor and director of the show. The cast was chosen from more than 25 people that auditioned.
Nashville native Jacob Bell will play the role of Don. Bell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bell, is a sophomore at Union where he is an English and theatre major. He has also had roles in the productions of “The Selfish Giant”, “Othello” and “Screwtape”.
Hanna Burke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Burke, will play the role of Alice. Burke is a junior liberal studies and theatre major. She is active in Student Teacher Education Association, Alpha Psi Omega and the Rutledge Honors History Club.
Miranda Wallace, a freshman from Jackson, will play the role of Camille. A graduate of USJ, she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Wallace and a theatre and Spanish major at Union.
Senior theatre major Graham Hillard will play the role of Ben. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Micheal Hillard.
“The show is fun for actors because of all the different dialects used and the comedy is always great because you know the audience will have such a good time,” said Burke.
“Who’s on First” will begin Thursday, October 11 through Tuesday, October 16 in the W.D. Powell Theatre. Tickets for the show are $3 for students and $7 for adults. For more information, contact the theatre at (731) 661-5105.
