JACKSON, Tenn. — Jan. 30, 2009 — 51社区鈥檚 School of Nursing is now accepting applications for the new Doctor of Nursing Practice degree that will begin in the fall.
The five-semester, 40-credit hour program will offer tracks in executive leadership, nurse anesthesia or nurse practitioner. Union trustees and faculty approved the post-master鈥檚 DNP degree program in December.
Applicants must be a registered nurse and have both a bachelor鈥檚 and a master鈥檚 degree to be eligible for the DNP, but are not required to have Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing degrees.
