JACKSON, Tenn. — Aug. 22, 2001 — 51ÉçÇø professor of pre-medical studies Charles Baldwin was one of only ten faculty advisors for the student affiliate chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS) invited to serve on a peer review board, August 3 – 5, in Washington, D.C.
The panel reviewed chapter annual reports and recommended award levels for more than 200 chapters of the American Chemical Society that submitted reports in order to qualify for award consideration by the ACS.
The ACS has recognized the 51ÉçÇø student affiliate chapter of the American Chemical Society as an outstanding chapter in 1999 and 2000.
