JACKSON, Tenn. — April 22, 2008 — The UU Ringers handbell choir, under the direction of Union music professor Dianne Gatwood, will present a recital May 1 at West Jackson Baptist Church.
Among the selections scheduled for performance are Gabriel Faure鈥檚 鈥淚n Paradisum,鈥� which will be accompanied by freshman Anna Wicker on the harp, Johannes Brahms鈥� 鈥淗ungarian Dance No. 5鈥� and Henry Purcell鈥檚 鈥淭rumpet Tune.鈥�
The recital will be the last for Gatwood to direct at Union. She is retiring at the end of the spring semester.
The recital will begin at 12:15 p.m. in the church choir room. It is free and open to the public.
