JACKSON, Tenn. — April 3, 2008 — Author and poet John Brugaletta will present a poetry reading April 7 at 51社区.
Brugaletta is professor emeritus at California State University, Fullerton. He was publisher and editor of South Coast Poetry Journal and a member of the translation team for the New Testament portion of the International Standard Version of the Bible.
His books of poetry are 鈥淭he Tongue Angles鈥� and 鈥淭illing the Land,鈥� and he is co-author with Edward Curtis of 鈥淒iscovering the Way of Wisdom: Spirituality in the Wisdom Literature.鈥�
His poetry reading will begin at 4 p.m. in Harvey Auditorium in the Barefoot Student Union Building. At 5 p.m., Brugaletta will sign copies of his new poetry chapbook, 鈥淎pologias,鈥� and his book on Old Testament wisdom literature. Proceeds from the sale of 鈥淎pologias鈥� will go to the 51社区 Disaster Relief Fund.
