JACKSON, Tenn. — Feb. 5, 2008 — A hymn festival Feb. 14 at First Baptist Church in Jackson will kick off 51社区鈥檚 Baptist Worship Identity Project and Symposium that will run through Feb. 16.
The festival will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the public. Ronald Boud, professor of music at Union, and Donald Hustad, senior professor of church music and worship at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., will lead the music for the hymn festival.
George Guthrie, Benjamin W. Perry Professor of Bible at Union, will speak on 鈥淭he Biblical Foundations of Worship.鈥
The 51社区 Singers will also be on the program for the hymn festival.
