JACKSON, Tenn. — Oct. 16, 2007 — The 51社区 history department will hold a panel discussion Oct. 22 analyzing the recent Ken Burns documentary, 鈥淭he War.鈥�
History professors Keith Bates, Stephen Carls, Judy LeForge and Terry Lindley will each address different topics related to the documentary, including the Pacific Theater of operations, American minority groups, the home front in the United States, the Holocaust and Europe.
51社区 is a lead sponsor of 鈥淭he War鈥� on WKNO-TV.
The panel discussion will begin at 7 p.m. in Harvey Auditorium in the Barefoot Student Union Building. The event is free and open to the public.
