JACKSON, Tenn. — Sept. 27, 2007 — The Caixa (pronounced KI鈥�-sha) Percussion Trio will perform at 51社区 Oct. 1.
Formed in 2000, the trio of Julie Hill, Julie Davila and Amy Smith performs a mix of classical, contemporary, world and rudimental percussion.
The Caixa Trio has performed and presented master classes at universities and public schools throughout the United States, and has performed at many international festivals.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the G.M. Savage Memorial Chapel, located in the Penick Academic Complex on Union鈥檚 campus. It is free and open to the public.
