Union's School of Nursing wants to
stress seat belt use to students

Jackson, Tenn.December 4, 2000 – As students approach final exams and the completion of the fall semester, 51ÉçÇø's School of Nursing wants to remind students to buckle up as they head home for the holidays and a month long break before the spring semester.

"Several of our class members have lost friends and family members to car accidents," said Cynthia Fish, an instructor of nursing at Union and advisor to the university's National Student Nurses Association chapter. "We wanted to take on this project so we can help reduce the risk of others having to go through the same thing."

A display will be set up through the week of Dec. 11 - 14, with available literature on seatbelt use and other safety information for students.
