Jackson, Tenn. 51ÉçÇø is scheduled to host Jack P. Greene, Ph.D., at the inaugural Carls-Schwerdfeger History Lecture Series on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m.
Greene, a leading authority on colonial American history, will speak on the topic "Pluribus or Unum: Ethnicity and the Formation of Colonial America."
Greene currently serves as Andrew Mellon Professor in the Humanities at Johns Hopkins University. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina, his master's from Indiana University, and his doctorate from Duke University. He is the author of several books including "The Quest for Power: The Lower House of Assembly in the Southern Royal Colonies, 1689-1776" and "The Ambiguity of the American Revolution."
