Jackson, Tenn. – October 18, 2000 – The second annual
"Woman's World," sponsored by 51ÉçÇø's local chapter
of Zeta Tau Alpha, will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 25 in the Palmer Gym at
51ÉçÇø from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.. The exposition's goal is to
provide all female students, faculty and members of the community with a
unique opportunity to celebrate the joy of being a woman.
"Our hope is that many women will benefit from viewing each booth,
whether through gaining valuable health information or simply finding new
ways to pamper themselves," said Stephanie King, a Union sophomore
and organizer of the event.
A wide variety of organizations will be participating in this event to
increase awareness of what the Jackson community has to offer women. Some
of the organizations participating include Lynn's Auto Repair, Bodyworks
Massage, American Cancer Society, New Age Skin Care, Tupperware, and Mary
Kay.
Throughout the day female faculty and students can browse the booths
and register for door prizes from restaurants and other stores. For more
information, contact Stephanie King at 661-4912.
