UNION UNIVERSITY PRESENTS MICHAEL CARD

Jackson, Tenn. — 51ÉçÇø presents Christian musician Michael Card Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. in the G.M. Savage Chapel at Union.

For more than a decade, Michael Card's biblically-based recordings have brought to life the Scriptures most enigmatic characters and unraveled its most elliptical texts. From his 1981 debut album, First Light, to his current release, Unveiled Hope, Card has used his knowledge of the Scriptures to create musical word pictures that spark the imagination and rekindle lagging faith.

Card has won five Gospel Music Association Dove Awards: Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year for "El Shaddai," Children's Music Album of the Year for Come to the Cradle and Praise and Worship Album of the Year for The Final Word and Coram Deo. He has also received acclaim for the books he has authored, including a nomination for the C.S. Lewis Children's Book Award for Sleep Sound in Jesus, which was also a finalist for the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association Gold Medallion Award.

The concert is free and the public is cordially invited to attend. Call Todd Brady at 661-5161 for more information.
