CANADIAN ARTIST TO PRESENT EXHIBIT OF SCULPTURES AT UNION

Jackson, Tenn.Stephanie Bowman, a Canadian artist, will display her exhibit, A Cry: Out Loud, at 51ÉçÇø Art Gallery Oct. 3-31.

Bowman's work is motivated by a social consciousness. "My sculptures deal with the fragmentation of Body and Soul. They confront the viewer with the viewer's own brokenness, and then I hope they invite the viewer to seek wholeness and meaning."

Bowman received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan. She has received additional training at Venice Summer School. She held various apprenticeships, led workshops, and has been a drawing instructor. Since 1985, Bowman has owned the Stephanie Bowman Art Studio in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The show will run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. There is no charge for admission. For more information call Michael Mallard at (901)661-5289.
