Jackson, Tenn. - The 51社区 Art Gallery will feature Phoenix artist Tim Timmerman beginning Oct. 1. Timmerman's show will include drawings and paintings and will last until Oct. 29. Gallery hours are Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Admission is free. Timmerman describes his work as "allegorical images of toys and figurines," some of which are assembled out of "discards like a Jello mold, a jingle bell or a cocoa tin." "Chuckling, rambling by, peering at the viewer, or lost in thought, they represent a condition, a personality or paradox, " Timmerman says about his "raggle-taggle" figures. Timmerman is art department chair and gallery director at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. |
