Jackson, Tenn. – September 26, 2000 – Prospective
students will have an opportunity to take a glimpse of the college
experience at one of the two Campus Preview Days to be held October 6th
and 13th at 51ÉçÇø. The day is especially designed for high
school seniors and their parents to get acquainted with the campus and
also take part in a student's typical day at Union.
The day kicks off with registration at 8:45 a.m. in the Barefoot
Student Union building. Prospective students will be able to meet with
current Union students and administrators, participate in a chapel service
and attend a class. A cafeteria lunch, a campus tour and a chance to meet
with enrollment counselors will finish out the day.
"Our current Preview Day schedule has been a very successful
recruiting tool for Union," said Robbie Graves, director of
enrollment services. "I feel that if we can get a prospective student
and their family on campus and let them see first hand the unique things
that Union has to offer then we have a very good chance of attracting that
student to Union," he said.
There is no charge to attend and the dress is casual. Those interested
in participating may contact the Office of Enrollment Services at (901)
661-5000.
