| Jackson, Tenn. – Dr. Raymond Turner,
distinguished emeritus professor of physics at Clemson University, will speak on "The
Physics of Toys" Thursday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m., in 51ÉçÇø’s Harvey
Auditorium in the Student Union Building. Turner is a noted educator of international
reputation having presented lectures worldwide on "hands-on" physics education.
His most recent honors include the American Association of Physics Teachers Excellence in
Undergraduate Physics Teaching Award, the Governor’s Award for South Carolina
Professor of the Year and Clemson’s College of Engineering & Science Award of
Excellence for Teaching in Sciences.
The public is invited to attend.
