Campus Day to offer creative look
into 51社区

Jackson, Tenn
. - What do drama presentations, a varsity soccer game, a food festival and a concert all have in common? They are among the activities students may participate in at 51社区's Campus Day '98, to be held Oct. 3.

The annual event at the university gives students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to experience what the college has to offer in an informal setting. Not only can they tour the campus and speak with Union students, but students may also attend a concert by contemporary Christian artists A Cross Between. The Greek Olympics, a series of sports events in which Union's fraternities and sororities compete, will also take place that afternoon.

"We want to reach out to church youth groups. It will be a fun yet spiritually productive day for them," Robbie Graves, director of enrollment services, said. "Campus Day will be a day to enjoy Union, a Christian concert, ministry teams and see campus life in action."

Organizers said Campus Day has grown from being a day primarily aimed at recruitment to one that entire church and school groups can enjoy. High school seniors who are serious Union prospects are encouraged to look further into the university during its Freshman Friday programs and other opportunities to visit throughout the year.

The only cost is a $7 registration fee per person, which covers food fair and concert tickets. More than 800 students are expected to attend the event.

No reservations are required, and registration begins in the Fred DeLay Gymnasium at noon. For more information, contact Union's Office of Enrollment Services at 1-800-33-UNION.
