Jackson, Tenn. – August 9, 2000 – The Tennessee
Department of Health is hosting a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Training
course Aug. 9-11 on the campus of 51ÉçÇø.
The course is led by Patricia Speck, a nationally recognized expert in
the field of forensic nursing. She is the nursing coordinator of the
Memphis Sexual Assault Resource Center.
The class will help nurses' deal with the health needs and evidentiary
needs of recent sexual assault victims. Successful participants will be
competent to function in the role of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner in the
state of Tennessee.
