Jackson, Tenn. 51社区, in cooperation with The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., is providing West Tennessee Christian leaders the opportunity to begin their seminary work this fall.
The following five seminary classes will be taught on Union's campus beginning Sept. 8. Classes will meet for 13 weeks and will be taught by faculty members in 51社区's Department of Christian Studies. Students may have their credits transferred to any one of the Southern Baptist Convention's seminaries and can graduate from that institution.
Supervised Ministry Experience (2 hours credit); Meets Mondays, 8:45 - 9:45 a.m.; Professor: Dr. John Adams; *Student planning to enroll in this course must have taken Formation for Christian Ministry before being allowed to enroll in this course.
Preaching Practicum (3 hours credit); Meets Mondays, 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.; Professor: Dr. John Adams
Introduction to Christian Philosophy (3 hours credit); Meets Mondays, 2 - 5 p.m.; Professor: Dr. Randall Bush
Introduction to the New Testament, Part I (3 hours credit); Meets Mondays, 5:45 - 8:45 p.m.; Professor: Dr. Paul Jackson
Elementary Hebrew (3 hours credit for two semesters); Meets Tuesdays, 10 a.m. - 12 noon; Professor: Dr. Kelvin Moore
Costs for the program for Southern Baptists include a $35 application fee and a fee of $100 per credit hour. $70 application fee and $200 per credit hour fee will be charged for students who are not Southern Baptists.
