PRAY PROMOTED TO CHAIR OF MCAFEE SCHOOL

Jackson, Tenn. — 51ÉçÇø's Dr. Bevalee Pray, assistant professor of finance and management, was recently promoted to chair of the McAfee School of Business Administration.

Pray, who has been full-time at Union since the fall of 1994, received the doctorate of philosophy from the University of Memphis in 1992, the master's of business administration from the University of Central Arkansas in 1987, and a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Central Arkansas in 1986.

She teaches a variety of classes for Union and conducts seminars and workshops for various groups, including seminars for the Chamber focusing on starting one's own business.

The McAfee School of Business Administration is going through many changes which Pray will help administer. One of the most exciting is the addition of a cohort MBA program. "This program allows qualified students to enter the MBA classroom without any business prerequisites, and leave 22 months later with degree in hand," Pray said. The classes meet one night a week, and are staffed by Union faculty.

In addition to her duties surrounding the MBA program, Bev will also assist in the implementation of Union's traditional undergraduate business program and accelerated evening undergraduate program, both of which have recently received curriculum updates.
