Jackson, Tenn. - Union
University's Germantown campus will hold its spring 1999
graduation ceremony this Saturday, May 29, at 11 a.m.
Commencement will take place in the chapel at Mid-America
Baptist Theological Seminary. Union will grant
approximately 70 degrees at the Germantown ceremony. The
university offers a bachelor of science in nursing and
master's programs in business and education at the
suburban Memphis campus, which has been open since fall
1997. Tom Rosebrough, dean of the School of Education and
Human Studies at Union, will deliver the Germantown
commencement address. The university granted
approximately 330 degrees on its Jackson campus, May 22.
Union's Germantown campus graduated its first class of
RN-to-BSN nursing students last December. Union has
operated a RN-to-BSN program in Germantown since fall of
1997 and has offered a similar program on its Jackson
campus since 1979. The RN-to-BSN program was designed to
allow registered nurses to earn a bachelor of science in
nursing while continuing their professional work.
