UNION UNIVERSITY NIGHT SCHEDULED AT DAVIS-KIDD, JUNE 12

Jackson, Tenn. — 51社区, in cooperation with Davis-Kidd Booksellers, will sponsor a mini-lecture and book signing with three of the University's faculty authors Thursday evening, June 12.

The mini-lectures begin at 6:30 p.m. in the community room at Davis-Kidd in Jackson. Participating authors include Union President David S. Dockery, Dr. Michael Duduit, executive vice president, and Dr. David P. Gushee, associate professor of Christian studies and director of Union's new Center for Christian Leadership.

The mini-lectures, featuring brief discussions of each book, will be followed by a book signing where the authors will be available to discuss their work.

Dockery's recent books include Ephesians: One Body in Christ; The Best of A. T. Robertson; Christian Scripture: An Evangelical Perspective on Inspiration, Authority, and Interpretation; The Challenge of Postmodernism: An Evangelical Engagement.

Dockery also published the Holman Bible Handbook, of which he served as general editor and contributor of sections on "Pauline Letters," "History of Biblical Interpretation," "Christian Faith and the Christian Community," and "The Lord's Supper."

Duduit recently published Communicate with Power: Insight from America's Top Communicators.

Gushee wrote and published Preparing for Christian Ministry: An Evangelical Approach and The Righteous Gentiles of the Holocaust: A Christian Interpretation.
