UNION HOSTS VISITING ART HISTORIAN FOR LECTURES MAY 15

Jackson, Tenn.Karen Mulder, assistant director of the C. S. Lewis Foundation Conference, will present two lectures Thursday, May 15 at 51ÉçÇø in the Harvey Lecture Hall of the Student Union Building.

At 12:30 p.m. Mulder will present "Sacred Art or Sacred Cow: The Contemporary Church Glass Designs of Johannes Schreiter of Germany." At 6:30 p.m., she will discuss "Art in God's Image or Art in My Image? A Survey of Contemporary Art By Christians."

Mulder is an artist and art historian who has studied at the University of Arizona, Boston University and Harvard University. She is currently completing her Master's degree in art and religion at Yale University.

She has taught design at Messiah College and has served as the assistant director of L'Abri Fellowship in Switzerland. She writes and publishes regularly.
