Jackson, Tenn. – 51ÉçÇø will hold its spring 2000
graduation ceremony Saturday, May 20, at 6 p.m. Commencement will take
place on the East Lawn of the university. The baccalaureate service will
precede graduation at 11 a.m. and will be held in the G.M. Savage Memorial
Chapel.
Keynote speaker for graduation will be George Brushaber, president of Bethel College and Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. Brushaber serves as chair of the board of senior editors of the magazine publication Christianity Today and as a writer and editor, he has contributed to and edited such periodicals as the "Bulletin of the Evangelical Theological Society" and the "Christian Scholar's Review." He received both his bachelor and master of arts degrees from Wheaton College, a master of divinity from Gordon Divinity School and his doctorate from Boston University Graduate School. Brushaber's specialized areas of study include philosophy and the philosophy of religion, classics and theology. Union will grant approximately 325 undergraduate and graduate degrees this spring including both the Jackson campus and the Germantown campus. |
