UNION STUDENTS QUALIFY FOR
PHI BETA LAMBDA NATIONAL COMPETITION

Jackson, Tenn. — Seven 51ÉçÇø students recently placed in the Phi Beta Lambda State Competition in Chattanooga.

Brandon McWherter of Rutherford, Bradley Owens of Kenton, and Chad Butler of Jackson won second place in the Business Decision Making team event. John Campion of Hanover, Penn. placed first in the Computer Concepts competition. Jeffrey Owen of Jackson finished second in the Management division. Smithy Sipes of Jackson placed first in the Mr. Future Business Executive category. Amy Cooley of Newbern was elected to the state office of Parliamentarian.

Phi Beta Lambda is a national business fraternity open to students interested in careers in business and who have a grade point average of 2.0 or above. The goals of the organization are to promote the enterprise system on which the American economic system is based and to create a better understanding of the business world.

These students have qualified to represent the state of Tennessee on the national level.
