Jackson, Tenn. More 51ÉçÇø students participated in Global Outreach Trips this year than ever before.
Global Outreach is a short-term missionary program in which students volunteer their time to one of several preappointed sites. Participating students minister through personal evangelism, backyard bible clubs, worship services, preaching, testimonies, singing, inner-city ministry, construction work, homeless shelters, prayerwalking and door-to-door visitation. More than 130 students and faculty sponsors participated in Global Outreach Trips over spring break to the following locations: San Jose, Costa Rica; Dallas, Texas; Greenville, S.C.; Evansville, Ind.; Toledo, Ohio; and Jackson, Tenn.
Union senior, Sarah Hackett, traveled to Dallas. She said, "Through this trip, I realized that there is a world in need and thirsty for the love of God. It's up to us to go and tell them about Jesus."
