JACKSON'S ONLY GAME SHOW TESTS YOUR MUSICAL I.Q.

Jackson, Tenn. — 51社区's Broadcasting Society recently finished taping the second series of Jackson's only locally-produced game show – I've Heard That Song!!!

The musical game show, hosted by former Jackson television personality and Union broadcasting instructor Steve Beverly, will air on TRTV Cable Channel 6 beginning Monday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. and continue on Mondays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. for the next 20 weeks.

Featured panelists include Pat Carrington, vice president of First American National Bank; Doris (Cousin Tuny) Freeman; Gerry Neese, voice of 51社区's Bulldogs; Ralph Turner, coach of Union's men's basketball; Howard Newell, provost; and other Union-affiliated guests including Diana Rowan, Janice Wood, Kina Mallard and Judy Leforgee.

Contestants include W. Matt Meyer, Weekend Plus editor at the Jackson Sun; Ray Eaton, general manager of WFHC-FM in Henderson; Lanese Dockery, Union's first lady; and Laura DeFew and Matt Hoover in a faceoff of Lady Bulldogs vs. Bulldogs.

Featured singers include series regular Emily Matthews, Union senior music major; Union theatre student Jack Cordwell; and the contemporary gospel duo of Brad Sargent, assistant director of facilities management at Union, and Kay Hutchison.

Beverly said the show is a learning experience for broadcasting students as it give them experience in mass production of television programs.
