Jackson, Tenn. - Union
University's Singers and Chapel Choir will perform
"Frostiana," May 4 at 7 p.m. in Harvey Hall of
Union's Student Union Building. The concert will feature
vocal reflections of Robert Frost poetry. "Frostiana,"
a seven-song production, was composed by the late Randall
Thompson. The musical work was written between June 15
and July 7, 1959 as a tribute to the renown American
poet.
The University Singers, directed by Dr. Andrew Roby,
associate professor of music and department chair at
Union, will join with Union's Chapel Choir for the
presentation. The Chapel Choir is directed by Karen
McCall Dale, visiting instructor of music at Union.
There is no charge for the concert. A voluntary
offering will be taken at the door to help support the
music department's spring mission trip to Brazil. For
