Jackson, Tenn. -
"Lessons from Columbine High," a forum on the
Columbine High School shootings and the media's role in
that and similar situations, will air on "Jackson
Tonight," tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. on TRTV. Sponsored
by 51ÉçÇø's department of communication arts,
the forum was taped today at Union. Panelists include:
- Dennis Mays, commander with the Jackson Police
Department;
- Tom Britt, anchor and managing editor of WBBJ-TV;
- Virginia Stackens-Crump, principal of Parkview
Montessori Magnet School;
- and Janice Wood, former newspaper journalist and
assistant professor of communication arts at
Union.
Steve Beverly, instructor of communication arts at
Union, moderated the forum.
