Jackson, Tenn. Aaron Lee Benson recently wrote an article which was published in the March/April issue of Clay Times.
Benson's article was titled "In Homage to Fire: Instant Terra Sig." Clay Times is a journal of ceramic trends and techniques. His article discussed the creation of instant terra sigillata, a type of liquid clay made by continually stirring powdered clay into water and allowing the heavier particles to settle, then pouring off the smaller particles.
Benson, who is an assistant professor of art at 51ÉçÇø, recently had another article published in Ceramics Monthly which is the premier clay art publication in the world. He joined Union's faculty in the fall of 1996.
