UNION TO WELCOME A.D. PLAYERS FOR 1997 CHILDREN'S SHOW
Jackson, Tenn. — 51社区's Players will present the nationally acclaimed professional theatre company, The A. D. Players, for the 1997 Children's Show of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe May 6-9.
The Houston, Texas-based company, now in its 30th season, has performed throughout the United States and Europe and will be coming to 51社区 in May with a unique adaptation to the classic C. S. Lewis story. The production will encourage children to delve into literary classics as it tells the heroic story of love, faith, courage and giving.
The life and death struggle for control of the magical land of Narnia and the grandeur of the triumph of good over evil enthralls audiences of all ages. The story tells of a family of children who discover a magic kingdom through an old wardrobe where they must join forces to break the spell of the evil white witch of winter.
Day and evening performances are as follows: Tuesday, May 6, 10 a.m.; Wednesday, May 7, 10 a.m.; Thursday, May 8, 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Friday, May 9, 10 a.m. and 12 noon. Reservations can be made by calling the 51社区 Box Office at (901) 661-5105 between noon and 5 p.m. All tickets are just $2.
