UNION PREPARES JACKSON TO "GROW IN GRACE"
Jackson, Tenn. — 51社区's annual Spring Bible Conference will begin Monday, April 14 at 10 a.m. in the G.M. Savage Memorial Chapel.
The three-day conference will feature dynamic communicators – Dr. Peter Lord, Dr. Calvin Miller, and Mr. Wayne Johnson. Twelve services have been planned around the conference theme, "Growing in Grace," based on 2 Peter 3:18.
"This year's outstanding lineup of speakers carries on the tradition of excellence that has characterized this conference for more than a quarter of a century," President David S. Dockery said.
Lord is one of today's exciting and challenging pastor/teachers. In demand as a speaker in churches and conferences across the nation, he has ministered to thousands and challenged them to grow and mature in their Christian walk. He is pastor at Park Avenue Baptist Church, Titusville, Florida.
Miller, professor of communication and ministry studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, has authored more than 30 books and contributed to more than 30 others. The Christian scholar beleives in the primacy of evangelism for the church in every age.
Johnson, who is assistant pastor of media at First Baptist Church, Orlando, will bring his unique ministry of creativity and drama to this year's Bible Conference.
"Our speakers are all exceptional communicators of the truth of God's Holy Word and are deeply committed to the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ," Dockery said. "These commitments to the truthfulness of scripture and the churches of this region are the foundational underpinnings of 51社区 as well."
