UNION STUDENT SELECTED AS ROTARY STUDENT OF THE MONTH

Jackson, Tenn. — 51社区 junior Angie Brown was selected as the University Student of the Month for March by the Jackson-Downtown Rotary Club.

Brown, daughter of Larry and Susan Brown, was selected on the basis of her academic accomplishments, leadership abilities and service to the community. Brown graduated from Millington Central High School in 1994. She is currently a junior at 51社区 and is pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and French with a minor in Biology.

Brown recently presented a paper entitled "Understanding the Carcinogenicity of N-arylhydroxamic Acids and N-arylhydroxylamines" at the Undergraduate Study Research Colloquium at the University of Memphis. She will present the same paper at the National Council on Undergraduate Research meeting hosted by the University of Texas at Austin.
