Jackson, Tenn. As part of Union's Bach's Lunch Recital Series, a half hour concert will be held March 25 at 12 p.m. in the G.M. Savage Memorial Chapel. The concert will include performances by the instrumental faculty of 51社区.
Since 1981, David McClune has been an active solo and chamber music recitalist and a clarinetist with the Jackson Symphony. For the last 10 years, he has been a regular substitute clarinet for the Memphis Symphony and Paducah Symphony, averaging over 25 concerts and recitals a year. McClune is the director of bands and professor of woodwinds at Union.
Lee Weimer, high brass instructor at 51社区 since 1992, also teaches at Rhodes College and Jackson State Community College. He is principal trumpeter with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra and active as a freelance trumpet player in Memphis and surrounding areas.
Greg Luscombe presently serves as principal trombonist/personnel manager of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and teaches at 51社区 and Shelby State Community College. He has performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Chicago Orchestra and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
