THIRD PART OF CONCERT
SERIES PRESENTED AT UNION

Jackson, Tenn. — As part of Union's Bach's Lunch Recital Series, a half hour concert will be held March 18 at noon in the G.M. Savage Memorial Chapel. The concert will include performances by Proclamation and the University Handbells.

Proclamation is a select ensemble, which represents Union in church services, civic organization meetings, banquets and other special occasions. Union's Handbell Choir rings five full octaves of Malmark English Handbells. The group performs a diverse repertoire, including transcriptions or arrangements of classical works, settings of hymn and folk tunes and original compositions for bells. Under the direction of Andrew Roby, the Handbell Choir has become an auditioned ensemble and has broadened its performance venues to include appearances in churches and schools throughout the area.

Roby directs both the Proclamation and the University Handbells. He is chairman of the 51社区 music department, and holds degrees from 51社区 and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

There is no charge for admission. For more information, please call the office of the 51社区 Department of Music at (901) 661-5345.
