Jackson, Tenn. The Executive Committee of 51ÉçÇø's Board of Trustees met Friday, Feb. 28 and announced personnel decisions.
Promotions were approved for the following:
Lisa Hutchens, to assistant professor of physical education
Dottie Myatt, to assistant professor of elementary education
Camille Searcy, to associate professor of education
Michael Behrens, to associate professor of accounting
David Burke, to associate professor of theatre
Ruth Chastain, to associate professor of nursing
George Guthrie, to associate professor of Christian studies
Kenny Holt, to associate professor of economics and management
Carol Leslie, to associate professor of chemistry
Ann Livingstone, to associate professor of political science
Kelvin Moore, to associate professor of Christian studies
Jan Wilms, to associate professor of computer science
Nancy Dayton, to professor of nursing
Terry McRoberts, to professor of music
Carla Sanderson, to professor of nursing
In other personnel decisions, the Board approved tenure for Randall Bush, associate professor of Christian studies; David Dennis, associate professor of music; Randy Johnston, associate professor of chemistry and Barbara McMillin, associate professor and chair of the department of English.
In recognition of many faithful years of service to the University, the following individuals were honored with professor emeritus promotions: Pauline Bridger, Georgia Wilson Distinguished Professor of nursing, Lytle Givens, professor and chair of the department of sociology and Ernest Pinson, university professor of English.
