UNION REPRESENTED AT SOUTHEAST JOURNALISM CONFERENCE

Jackson, Tenn. — Four representatives of 51ÉçÇø attended the Southeast Journalism Conference Feb. 21-22 in Nashville.

The organization supports students and faculty who work with college publications across the southeastern region.

Janice Wood, instructor of communication arts and adviser to the University's campus newspaper, joined three students – Chrissy Gann, Nathan Jones and Stephanie Lim – to participate in this year's annual meeting. The students are journalism students at the University and write for the Cardinal & Cream.

Conference speakers included former Tennessee Governor Lamar Alexander, author Ray Blout, Jr., and First Amendment scholar John Seigenthaler, formerly with the Nashville Banner/Tennessean and USA Today.
