Jackson, Tenn. - Because of his invaluable contributions to Union University and significant accomplishments in his professional life, the 51社区 Alumni Association recently awarded Mark Patey with the Outstanding Young Achiever Award.
Patey graduated from 51社区 in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in History. He then went on to pursue a J.D. degree at the University of Memphis and received this degree in 1987. He is currently serving as a member on the Board of Directors of Union's Board of Presidential Associates and the 51社区 Alumni Association.
Professionally, Patey is currently in his 10th year as a licensed practicing Attorney in Madison County. He is the senior and founding member of Patey, Teel & McCormack, P.L.C. Patey is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association & Madison County Bar Association.
He has been appointed to sit as Special Judge on numerous cases by the Honorable Walter Baker Harris, Juvenile Court Judge/Madison County General Sessions Judge, Division II, and is a candidate for the office of Juvenile Court Judge.
In the Jackson community, Patey serves as a current member on the Board of Directors of the Jackson Boys & Girls Club and Crimestoppers. Patey, his wife Carla, and their two children, Madison and Hayden reside in Jackson where they are members of Englewood Baptist Church.
