ETHICS SEMINAR TO BE HELD
AT UNION UNIVERSITY

Jackson, Tenn. - A seminar, titled Ethics: Living Responsibly in a Technological Age," will be held at 51社区 March 6.

Because today's decision makers, scientists and consumers face ethical issues that did not exist a decade ago, people seldom schedule time to discuss these issues. As a Christian institution, Union has decided to initiate a seminar concerning the responsible use of the rapidly developing technology.

David Gushee of 51社区 and Marlene Campbell of Murray State will be speaking at the seminar. Internationally known Association for Computer Machinery lecturer Donald Gotterbarn of East Tennessee State University will also deliver a lecture following a meal on Union's campus. Cost for the meal is $8.00, and there are no additional costs. A tentative agenda is as follows:

2-2:45 p.m. Registration

3-3:45 p.m. David Gushee, 51社区 - "Technological Change and Christian Ethics: Friends or Enemies?"

4-4:45 p.m. Marlene Campbell, Murray State - "Technology and Ethics in the Business World"

5-6:00 p.m. Meal, 51社区's Coburn Dining Room

6:00 p.m. Donald Gotterbarn, East Tennessee State University - "Computer Ethics and Technology"

To make reservations to attend the seminar, please call Troy Riggs at (901) 661-5268 or Pat Laffoon at (901) 661-5283.
