Jackson, Tenn. - Lili Myatt was announced as 51社区's
2000 Homecoming Queen during homecoming festivities Saturday, Feb. 19.
Myatt, a senior Spanish major, is active in Campus Ministries, praise
band, Hispanic Ministries, Life Groups, and the homecoming committee. A member of Cornerstone Community Church in Jackson, Myatt plans a
career in education. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Myatt of
Jackson.
Other members of the homecoming court included:
- Beth Chapman, a senior political science major, is active in
Focus, Alpha Chi Honorary Fraternity, serves as president of Chi Omega
and vice president of Union's Student Government Association. Chapman
was named in Who's Who Among American Colleges And Universities, and
was also voted as senior class favorite and Miss Union. A member of
First Baptist Church in Paducah, Chapman plans a possible career in
law. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Chapman of Paducah.
- Michelle Hardee, a sophomore marketing major, is active in
Union's student government, Student Ambassadors, Phi Beta Lambda, Zeta
Tau Alpha and is a member of the cross country team. A member of
Englewood Baptist Church Watchcare Program in Jackson, Lovelace plans
a career in sales. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hardee
of Memphis.
- Rachael Lovelace, a freshman Christian ethics major, is
active in freshman council, Namesake Ministries, Klemata and
intramural sports. A member of Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson,
Lovelace plans a career in missions or other full-time Christian
service. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lovelace of Jackson.
- Lisa Sipes, a junior social work major, is active in Life
Group leadership, Klemata, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. A member of
Greater Hope Baptist Church in Jackson, Sipes plans a career in the
area of inner city ministry. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn
Sipes of Memphis.
- Ashley Yarbro, a senior elementary education major, is a
member of Chi Omega, the Student Teacher Education Association and is
involved in intramurals. A member of First Methodist Church of
Dyersburg, Yarbro plans to pursue a career in the field of education.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dent Yarbro of Dyersburg.
