JACKSON NATIVE, UNION ALUMNUS' RESEARCH PUBLISHED

Jackson, Tenn. — Research of Jackson native David Boatright, a 1996 graduate of 51ÉçÇø, was published in the August 1996 issue of the international journal of Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology.

The research paper is titled "A carbon monoxide irreducible form of cytochrome c oxidase and other unusual properties of the `monomeric' shark enzyme."

The published work is a culmination of research that Boatright conducted during a research program at the University of Alabama with a group of chemistry students while he was a junior at Union.

Boatright is currently enrolled at the University of Tennessee Medical School. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Boatright, Jackson.
